Research interests / activities
I have been exploring animal perception and communication in my work for at least 15 years. I am continuing that research now as a PhD student in Australia. My current thesis involves using virtual reality and gaming to explore animals as subjective beings. I am hoping to start a podcast soon on animal language. I was in the first UK Animal Gaze show in 2009 and attended the Minding Animals conference in Mexico City in 2017. I've been a vegetarian for ethical reasons since about the age of 6 and am especially concerned about extinction and ecosystem collapse.
