Workshop: Survey of Animal Studies Scholars

Monday 20st August 11-1pm
School of Humanities, University of Tasmania

Undertaken by Prof. Fiona Probyn-Rapsey (University of Wollongong), Dr Siobhan O’Sullivan (University of New South Wales) and Dr Yvette Watt (University of Tasmania)

The workshop will start with each academic giving a 20 minute presentation on three papers that are currently being developed from the survey:

  • The Challenges and Rewards of Animal Studies
  • What Brought People to Animal Studies
  • The relationship between Animal Studies and Animal Advocacy

We will then have an open discussion for an hour on then issues raised in the three presentations, before concluding with lunch.

Room 477a, Humanities Building, Sandy Bay Campus.
