Ace Bourke in India

A Kalimpong patient and owner

In 1971, Ace Bourke and John Rendall wrote A Lion Called Christian, the story of a lion from London who returned to Africa. Now an art curator and living in Sydney, Ace Bourke  writes a regular blog,  most recently documenting his travels in India (including a visit to Kalimpong Animal Shelter and the Darjeeling Animal Shelter by invitation of Christine Townend, the founder of Animal Liberation in Australia in 1976, and her husband). Ace Bourke’s  blog  is accompanied by many moving photographs and can be viewed here: http://acebourke.wordpress.com/.
