Research interests / activities:

I am a creative writer and critical animal studies scholar based at the New Zealand Centre for Human-Animal Studies.  I completed my Master’s thesis, “Inherit the World, Devour the Earth: Representations of Western Meat Production and Consumption in Contemporary Fiction” at the University of Canterbury in 2015.  My doctoral research will examine human-animal relationships in Māori literature.
